“Sixpence No More” 28″ x 18″ Price Range: $50 – $700 All of Jamie’s images begin with her digital photograph. Additional photographs are then layered on top of this base image. From there, she can adjust color levels, add or remove texture and apply what were once traditional darkroom techniques now performed digitally. Any given image may have as many as 15-30 different images combining to produce the finished product. Playing with each layer individually allows for a finished piece ever-so-slightly varied from traditional photography and represents slices of time showing the magic in this reality.

“Capitol” 12″ x 16″ Price: $575 I build a miniature set in my studio from found objects and seasonal materials. Once the set is completed and the lighting is all figured out, I bring the chicken in at night when they are more cooperative and try to persuade the chicken to stand in the exact pose I have in my head.

Using imagery of antiquated technology, I signal to the viewer that though the tools have changed, the quest remains the same. Simultaneously I work in a manner that allows me to avail myself of the most surprising and stable printing materials while remaining deeply invested in the artisanal aspect of production.
