“Hideout” 20″ x 20″ $600 South Dakota based Gum Pal Press specializes in traditional, fine art prints and works on paper. Gum Pal Press makes etchings and lithographic prints on archival papers that are hand printed with quality, oil-based ink not reproductions. The idiosyncratic nature of the individual has always been of interest and I seek to encapsulate that within the characters I create. My work exhibits a satirical fascination with the comically bizarre and often dabbles in sociopolitical and historical contexts.

“Condiment Set with Vintage Wood Tray” 14″ x 4″ x 4″ Price Range: $40 – $350 I hand build from slabs of porcelain clay. I create series of functional pieces: trays, containers and vessels. Many of these pieces are comprised of two slabs of clay joined at the edges leaving a “pocket” of volume inside. I visualize the shapes in terms of elevations and edges. Form and function are the driving concerns of my work. I hope that each piece stands alone as well as fulfills its purpose.

“Portal” 11″ x 7″ x 11″ Price: $4,000 The portal is a passageway for light. I am creating a relationship between the interior and exterior by juxtaposing opaque & translucent, glossy & matte, with light & dark. The balance that is revealed connects the conscious with the subconscious as the voice of the glass emerges through reflections of light that are suspended in space.
