“Illuminated Letter “F” with wax Seal” 11″ x 17″ x 1.25″ Price Range: $600 – $16,000 I research my images from historical documents. Hiberno-Saxon illuminated manuscripts, from the 8th through 11th century, inspire me with a wealth of letterforms and decoration. Starting with vegetable tanned leather, the work is created using thousands of tiny tool marks, stains are used to emphasize the deep lines, and much of my work is painted with tiny brushes.
