The abstract work of art was created using oil sticks on a hardwood panel. She applies the pigment directly to the surface, blending and working it in with her fingers.
“A lot of my work draws on early influence by using symbols reminiscent of ancient writing. Several layers of pigment-layers of civilization perhaps?-serve to hide and reveal what is underneath. This ambiguity invites the viewer’s interpretation and engages their imagination.”
