“My paintings are created entirely on a computer; no photographs or scanned images are used. I begin with a “blank screen” as my canvas and build my images with a traditional approach–a sketch, a value study, and various color studies. Then, I “paint” using the natural media computer program, Painter, laying down layers of colors with a variety of digital brushes until the painting becomes my vision. The paintings are digital and I do not try to disguise that fact, but rather build on it’s uniqueness as a painting element.”
