The Denver Chalk Art Festival started in 2003, historically occurring during June on the streets of Larimer Square. In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Festival took place in driveways and on sidewalks around Denver. In 2021 chalk festival artists showcased their work at the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. The Denver Chalk Art Festival and CherryArts have collaborated previously on outreach programs and last year’s partnership took it up a notch. In 2022, CherryArts will continue to support the Denver Chalk Art Festival, in its new home.

Many artists who have participated for more than a decade will be featured, three madonnari (professional chalk artists) and artists who are new to the event. For more information, visit www.denverchalk.art.
