Cherry Creek Arts Festival sculpture donation in Cherry Creek North

“TOWER OF MAN” by artist Bill Starke

Denver’s Cherry Creek North (CCN) Shopping District, between 2nd and 3rd Avenues on Steele Street For over 20 years, the CCN community has contributed to the sustainability, growth and prominence of the Cherry Creek Arts Festival as a Denver cultural institution. On June 21, 2012, Cherry Creek Arts Festival expressed its gratitude to the CCN community that houses and supports it by donating a public art sculpture, created by Bill Starke, a Colorado artist and longtime Cherry Creek Arts Festival exhibitor. Decades of relentless support from CCN, generous sponsors and arts festival patrons have allowed CCAF to provide the Denver community with arts access and education through its three-day festival over 4th of July weekend and through 365 days of arts education programs. The community celebrated with a public event that unveiled the sculpture to the CCN merchants, residents and to the Denver community. The event was complete with a reception, program and special sculpture ‘reveal’ by Cherry Creek Dance performers.
